A same passion for hiking and mountain sketching lead us, Marc Picard and me, to the central Pyrenees.
On the trail, we soon stop to make a first sketch of a sharp peak, well named Pic de la Pique.
A little higher, the pic-nic time offers us the opportunity to have a glimpse over the spanish border…
… and, in front of us, on the serrated Pic de la Frèche.
Our climbing ends at the summit of Pic de Pouylané 2219m, a perfect belvedere which reveals us the high point of the range, the Peak of Aneto, in Spain 3404m.
This splendid view displays may 3000m summits
Mis à part un bon coup de soleil, je rapporte une série de croquis rassemblée dans cet album Flickr et l'envie d'y retourner bien rapidement.
This hike day allowed me to admire amazing mountainscapes, paint watercolors in my sketchbook (the album on Flickr) and get a bad sunburn. However, I can't wait to come back there soon.
