This moku Hanga print is a new milestone of the series

Inspired by this sketch, it is constituted of four plywood blocks hand printed with a renovated baren (see previous post) on Awagami Shiramine paper.

Inspired by this sketch, it is constituted of four plywood blocks hand printed with a renovated baren (see previous post) on Awagami Shiramine paper.
The four blocks are carved in two basswood plywood Wood panels for woodblock printing are difficult to find in France.

I try to use the Maru Bake strokes as atmospherical effects |
The second block : another gradient from a light yellow green at the background to the darker grass green of the foreground

The Third block is a 4 colors block : sky and water, pine green, yellow ocher house and bright red barrels |
